What 269 councils are about to decide, and what they decided

Council Watch

A saved question, asked every night against every council in the province. What is on the agenda, what passed, who moved it, how each member voted.

Eight councils is what a person can cover

A policy staffer can read the agendas of the handful of councils they are paid to watch. Ontario has 444 municipalities. The items that matter are rarely in the eight being read, and the first anyone hears of them is when a client asks why nobody flagged it.

A mention is not a decision

Knowing that a topic came up tells you very little. Whether it carried, who moved it, who voted against, and whether the same council has done the opposite twice before is the part that changes what you advise. That requires the record, not a keyword hit.

What is always true. The public record stays free at every municipality's own address. What is sold here is notification, shape and reach — never earlier access, and never anything a reader cannot see for themselves.
